Recycling
15 June 2010
Recycling is a way of life here in Afghanistan. Shipping containers are often turned into habitations, houses, shops, protection walls, and many other useful things. The one here has been turned into a garage. It’s got recycled rice bags as a roof extension to protect the working ditch.
Very basic, but the staff seems good. After negotiating a decent price, we agree on the work. They like the project, though they don’t really see why I could be interested in such an old vehicle, but they seem liking working with us.
The bus will sleep behind a fence, kept by a Chaokidor (guard). A good step forward, we can start the dismantlement work tomorrow.
